Nearing Completion of the Rough Draft

80,000 words and counting! Wow, it's been a while since I've posted on here. The enIt's way short of the original goal of a nice round 100,000 words, but I'll take it.

What's really odd to me is that it's getting a lot harder to write as I'm getting closer to the end. I'm not sure if this is some kind of self-imposed writer's block or maybe it's just harder to get to that ending every time one writes a long story or book.

I already have the very end of the book visualized, so I know where I want the main character to be. It's just the manipulating the story to get him there part that's getting mind-boggling difficult.

Anyone else out there have a hard time getting down to the final few chapters of a book when writing? Perhaps it's you have a harder time with the beginning of a book or have problems with a saggy middle?
